Guidance for professional transformations
Request an exploratory conversation
Use the contact form to provide your contact information, a brief description of your change situation, the best times to reach you, and whether you prefer a call or virtual meeting for your exploratory conversation. I will follow up with a call to schedule our meeting. After the conversation is scheduled you will send me your CV or resume.
Exploratory conversation
In the initial conversation you will be asked to provide additional detail about your change situation, and answer questions about your background to help me get a picture of where your journey began. I will describe how I can support your transformation, and what activities might offer the most benefit. We will discuss time commitment: frequency of our sessions, and how much additional time might be necessary for me to use on your behalf outside of sessions. If you decide to engage my services during this conversation we will discuss payment and invoicing.
Payment for services
Charges for sessions, hourly services, or monthly retainer is on a sliding scale. A monthly retainer is not required for all clients. Retainers are paid by the 5th of each month. For clients who keep me on retainer an invoice for extra hours is sent at the end of each quarter, and should be paid 10 days from receipt of invoice. Payment for individual sessions should be made on the day of the session.
Who I work with
New Executives
You have made the change from individual contributor, or team lead into middle management, or the C-suite, and find yourself with questions about navigating your new role you don’t think you can ask of persons within your organization. Maybe you find yourself having difficulty articulating your ideas, and promoting change – as your mentor I can help you practice, and give you tips to present your best self.
Career Changes
Are you one of the rare professionals who has spent most of their career at a single organization, and find yourself needing guidance on how to translate your language and presentation from that organization’s culture into a more general professional persona? Wondering how you can translate your experience and skillset from one industry to another? Have questions about the value of additional training, or what soft skills are so appreciated in the workplace that they cancel out minor deficiencies? Let’s talk about it!
Seeking Promotion
Perhaps you feel you are consistently overlooked with it comes to promotion, or you need help figuring out whether you should pursue promotion within your current organization, or look outside. These are conversations that it can be difficult to have with your current manager or mentor, or perhaps you are in a dysfunctional environment where these conversations don’t occur at all.
Planning or Improving Retirement
If you’ve been able to retire you have done the hard work of planning and saving. You might also have spent so much time working and saving that you never thought about how to use your time in retirement in ways that would add to your contentment. Let’s brainstorm about your options.
